 I choose this book because its cover is so cute. Chicken Licken is so chicken. He scares everything, for example rats. And he often mistakes about something, so everyone was surprised by him. He may have few friends. But he is a really good boy so I like him and I pity him. If you read this book, you understand it. Please read it.

 Today, I read this book, The Fox and the Stork.

 It is very interesting book. I read the book when I was an elementary school student. The fox and stork criticize bad point each other. Fox can’t drink with a long vase and stork can’t eat with a flat dish. I thought they are troublesome. I think it is good to find good point of each other. I want to make such a human relations in the future.

The wish fish is a magic fish. The fish grant three wish. One day. Bob and Bet went fishing and they catch the fish. They said “I wish to be rich” three times. But last, the fish said “Too greedy!” so he returned them to be poor. I want to meet the fish but I have only wish. I merely live happily, if I am poor. How about you?

 Today, I read “The Little Red Hen”

The heroin is a little red hen. I think she is very cute so I like her. She would bake bread. She asked her friends to help to it but they didn’t help her. She baked the bread without any help at all. After the bread finished baking, they said “I’ll eat the bread”.  But she didn’t give it to them and she ate it all. I think it is natural. I will do same thing with her.

 Today, I read this book, The Three Little Pigs.

This is famous story in all over the world. It was good old for me because I read this story before. And my mother often read this book when I was childhood. I thought those three pigs are ironsides and kind. But I also pitied the wolf because he slid down the chimney and fell in the very hot pot. He is too pitiful.

Today, I chose this book to read, because I played the story in a nursery school. My part is a country mouse. I remember practicing hard every day. I think town mouse are luxurious because he had so many likes and dislikes in food and thing. But I have a longing for a town’s life. The pictures in this book are very cute. Especially, mousses look cute when they are asleep. It makes me heartwarming. I like this book.

 Today, I read a book “Robin Hood”.

Biff, Wilma, Anneena and Kipper were taken to the wood where Robin Hood lived by a magic key. They sang a song and played the musical instruments with Robin Hood and his men. At that time, Sheriff who is villain and his men came and grabbed their. But Kipper was not grabbed because he hid in the big black pot, and he deceived Sheriff’s a man. Finally he rescued them!

 I was exciting to read it. And I became childhood’s feeling. I want to read Robin Hood.

 Today, I read this book, The Ugly Duckling. It is good story. I have read it many times in childhood.

There are five eggs and one big egg. One day, they were hatching and cute ducks and a ugly duck were born. The ugly duck was laugh from everyone so he lived alone. Then when spring came he realized that he was a sawn! He was the most beautiful than the other swans. Then he lived with swans.

 I remember being impressed with reading the book in childhood. This is emotional story.

 Today, I read this book, The RUNAWAY PANCAKE.

This is interesting story and there are a lot of animals in the book so it is funny.

Children want to eat pancake but pancake ran away from frying pan.

Everyone who lives in the forest would catch a pancake. The pancake ran away. There is a clever pig, so the pancake was eaten by the pig. I thought pigs are smart to only eat foods. I want to eat a pancake so I will make it soon. I like to put butter on the pancake. How about you?

Today, I read this book, Alice in Wonderland. It is a very famous book. I read it for the first time but I watch the movie before. The Mad Hatter was played by Johnny Depp. I like him since I watch the movie. It was interesting so I thought to read this book.

Today, I read a good old book. It is The Musicians of Bremen. I like this story. I remember to read this book many times in childhood and my mother read it for me.

 

 

There are a donkey, dog, cat and rooster. They were badly treated by the people who have them. Then they gathered. They have thyself specialty. The cat can play the violin, the dog can play the didgeridoo have good voice. They will join the town band and they went to the forest and they found a house. Then they threatened people who were in the house. The people ran away somewhere. They lived in the house happily ever after.

Today, I read this book, The Castle That Jack Built. This story was interesting. But the same words were repeated, for example “the castle that Jack built”, so I was bored at first.

 

There is a king. He is Jack. He had much gold but the dragon stole it in the wagon. But the dragon overturned the wagon. The frog ran away.

There is a girl. She kissed the fog. It was amazing. Fog is bad so I can’t kiss it, can you? In fact the fog was the prince who is Jack’ son so I was easy in my mind. Finally, they all lived happily ever after.

Today, I read “Dick Whittington”.

There is a very very poor man. His name is Dick Whittington. He looked for job but job was nothing. He decided to look for job in London so he went to London. But job was nothing there. Then he fell asleep in the street. The next morning, he woke to hear a woman’s shouting. When he could move, a man came out of the house and he invited Dick in his house. A man is Mr. Fitzwarren. He is rich man. He hired him as house help and he lived his house. But his room had mice so he couldn’t sleep every night. He went the market and he bought a cat. The cay ran in his room and mice back into their holes. He could get a good night’s sleep. He sold the cat because mice ran away. Then in fact, the cat was bought by the king. Dick got much gold so he became rich people. And he used the money to buy and sell thing. He grew up to the richest men in the city.

 This story is very interesting. Dick had good chance by going to London. I want to go somewhere in the future and I want to be rich! Thank you for reading.

BR-08 “Brer Rabbit Down the well”.

"Where are the fish?" growled Brer Fox (p21)

Today, I read “Brer Rabbit Down the well”.

There are Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox. One day, Brer Fox would chase him and eat so he ran way. He could run faster. Then he found a deep, dark well and he would hide there. He jumped into the bucket and the bucket started to fall! He fell into the well. Finally, he was found by Brer Fox. Then he said “I’m not hiding. I’m fishing. Come down here! Or there won’t be any left” Brer Fox loved fishes so he forgot about eating him. Brer Fox changed to him and he jumped into the bucket. So Brer Fox fell down the deep well. There weren’t fishes in the well. He felt bitter.

 

This story is very funny. I think the rabbit is very clever and the fox foolish. The fox act on his desires. He should think the rabbit may be able not to go out of the well so he might not fall there.

BR-07. Percy and the Pirates

Today, I read this book. This is an adventurous story. Percy Dike is tender boy. He went fishing for his family to eat on the sea. But his boat was old so it sank down. Then he was helped by pirates! The captain said “You have choice. Join my crew or I’ll throw you the sharks”. He chose to join crew, but he thought he wanted to see his family again. So he cheated of the captain to back home. It did well and he took pirate’s treasure to his family. The family was so grateful to him for giving a big reward. And they were never hungry again. I felt family’s love by reading this book. I thought I have to cherish my family too.

BR-06. The great escape

This is where we normally keep the pigs! (p.12)

Today, I read this book. This picture is vivid so I enjoyed reading.

There are four boys in this town. They conspire to open the gates on a farm at midnight and animals escape from there in next morning. Animals manage to somehow jump inside the back of ambulance and jump out, and eat the laundry of people. The town is panic. Police looks for their and the boys hide to hut to safe. But it is place where normally keep the pigs. It is very stink! Police know the thing he let it lie and he can’t stop laughing for a week.

I think I don’t have to do bad thing. A judgment returns to me.

BR-05 "The Fairground Ghost”.

"That huge scary ghost was you"(p48)

 Today, I read a book “The Fairground Ghost”.

There is a boy who is Jake. He would want to go to the fair on Friday. He had to find someone to go with him. He asked for his father and mother to go there but he was rejected. He convinced his sister to go with him. Then they went the Fairground. His sister and her boyfriend headed straight for Tunnel of Love. Jack was left. He went to the ghost train and the train went around the final bend and out popped a little ghost. He wasn’t scary so Jack was happy. But the ghost was not useful so the inspector ran him out of the fair. Jack trained him and he became very scary ghost! The ghost back there and the fairground became very popular.

 This story is thrilling and interesting. I thought Jack is very kind boy because he trained the ghost. Also Jack’s sister is selfish because she left Jack so she should take care of her brother. It was good that the ghost back the fairground.

BR-04. A Monster on the Street

"It's getting away! Watch out!"

  Today, I read “A Monster on the Street”.

 There are children in their secret room and they were talking. Jojo passed the biscuits around. Everyone like it but Sam didn’t want one. She wasn’t fine because her parents shouting each other last night. Jojo wanted to cheer Sam up so they went to watch the new people move in. they met a boy and girl they had never seen before. They made themself known to them “Duncan Hart” and “Queen of Sheba”. It was joke. It was imitation was “Duncan Donut” and “Cleopatra”. Then they went to watch the removal van unload together. The removal men begun to unload a strange black monster. It was a grand piano. Then the men struggled to get the heavy piano down the ramp and he lost his grip! It got away! It head on down the load. Then the man clung to the top of it. He slid on downward slope. The children watched with horror.

 

This story is not horror. It is funny story. At first, I think this is sad story because Sam was not fine. But finally, it was very funny so it was good for me. And I think Duncan and Queen were very friendly because they said joke to people had never met before.

He taught them jumping trick and acrobatics and they put on a show in the village. The villagers laughed and clapped and gave them some money! Finally, he helped Queen and King
